Cycling in the the Ariege Pyrenees

The Ariege Pyrenees has long been associated with some of the classic stages of the Tour de France.

Road cycling is a way of life in this part of France and the Ariegeoise Cycle Race in July each year attracts over 3000 competitors of all levels.

From easier valley and plain cycling to breathtaking col routes the Ariege is a feast for the cyclist... The classic Route de Col du Port starts at the Refuge de Rive.

Mountain biking is well catered for with many marked trails but also plenty of hidden gems.

Quality road and mountain bike hire is available, or you can bring your own saddle and pedals that will be set up for you, so you can tackle those routes in comfort.

Secure storage, bike stand and service kit available if you wish to bring your own bike. Cycle guides, maps, cycle support available.

Clubs and groups particularly welcome.
